LEARN ABOUT PATRICK
Patrick Gavin is a highly respected counsellor/psychotherapist. Over the last 18 years Patrick has worked extensively in community mental health and private practice, having studied in the Dublin Business School achieving a BA (Hon’s) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Patrick is an accredited therapist and supervisor with the Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MIACP).
Patrick has studied with PCI College achieving an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT is one of the most researched types of therapy, and used extensively as part of Patrick’s recovery programs.
Patrick has prepared, developed and presented mental health and well-being programs to the corporate sector. He has worked extensively with young people and teenagers in secondary schools throughout Ireland.
Patrick has lectured for PCI College and Irish College of Humanities and Applied sciences (ICHAS) Limerick & Dublin, training students to become counsellors/therapists and supporting them in their professional development. Patrick has a background in business management and HR having worked in these sectors for almost 30 years, achieving a higher Diploma in Business Management from the Irish Management Institute (IMI).
Over the last few years Patrick has continued with his professional development by achieving an Advanced Diploma in Supervision. He works extensively in the supervision of health practitioners, supervisor/therapists, mental health/wellness professionals and guidance counsellors.
